Limited Edition Series "Soul's Journey"

I’m pleased to share with all of you something I’ve been working on for many months. This limited edition portfolio is a way for art and photography lovers to get three museum quality prints at an affordable price. The images can be framed and placed together or individually, or simply left in the folio as a beautiful coffee table piece to be browsed at leisure.

These images represent our universal journey. What is beyond for us - what lies ahead? As many of you know, I was absolutely struck by the writings, poetry and wisdom of John O’Donohue. Nearly every line can be considered a koan to study and meditate.

When you regain a sense of your life as a journey of discovery, you return to rhythm with yourself. When you take the time to travel with reverence, a richer life unfolds before you. Moments of beauty begin to braid your days. When your mind becomes more acquainted with reverence, the light, grace and elegance of beauty find you more frequently. When the destination becomes gracious, the journey becomes an adventure of beauty.
— John O'Donohue

My hope is that these images will provide a moment of reverence -- maybe you’ll have a few minutes of reflection in the early morning or last thing at night. Or perhaps you catch a glimpse as you’re running out the door in your busy day, and you can reconnect with the spiritual, prompting you to breathe and slow your mind in order to recognize the beauty around us.

O’Donohue reminds us,

When we walk on the earth with reverence, beauty will decide to trust us. The rushed heart and the arrogant mind lack the gentleness and patience to enter that embrace.Beauty is mysterious, a slow presence who waits for the ready, expectant heart.

FROM THE ARTIST

I print the images in my studio using Piezography monochromatic inks, which give great depth and richness to the pieces. I use acid and lignin-free Hanhnemühle paper which is made in Germany from white cotton and has a soft tactile feel. Each image is enclosed in a slipsheet of Kozo paper that’s made in Japan from the bark of Mulberry trees. Rounding out the global features is the Fiscagomma portfolio itself, which is an amazing material from Italy that has the look, feel and texture of leather. The folios are crafted by the artisans at Campbell Logan, a family owned business in Minnesota that has been in operation over 60 years.

These limited edition folios would make a special corporate gift, or a beautiful, meaningful gift for significant people in your life. Putting these together for you has been a labor of love and I look forward to hearing your feedback.
